Success Story - Voskhod

Voskhod Group of Companies has been operating since 2006. The main activity: mining and processing of chrome ore and production of chrome concentrate.

In 2008, an investment project for the construction of a mining and processing complex at the Voskhod deposit, located in the Khromtau mining region with a developed infrastructure, was implemented. The complex includes several facilities: a mine, a concentrator, a railway terminal and other supporting infrastructure units.

In June 2010, an underground mine was commissioned. The mine used the latest methods of excavation of mine workings - an inclined shaft with the use of modern mining equipment of leading world companies.

Invested more than $ 250.0 million, while creating 800 jobs.

Since 2014, the successor has been the Yıldırım Group Company (Turkey).

Sales of products focused on overseas markets. 40% of chrome concentrate produced at the deposit goes to the markets of the Russian Federation (Tikhvin Ferroalloy Plant), Great Britain (Glencore company), the rest of the products are exported to China.
