Aktobe region is an industrially developed region of the country.The main direction of the economy is industrial and agricultural production.

The region is of great economic and strategic importance for Kazakhstan. The region is the world leader in reserves of chromium, its volumes exceed 400 million tons. In the depths of the explored 40% of the republican reserves of titanium and 55% of nickel. On the territory of the region, 30% of the forecasted hydrocarbon reserves are concentrated, the region's industrial oil reserves are in third place in the republic.
There are also large deposits of gold, silver, copper, zinc, cobalt, kaolin, phosphorites, oil and bitumen rocks, and raw materials for the production of building materials.

- 1st place in the ranking of the lowest tariffs for natural gas in the Republic of Kazakhstan;
